It’s been a busy year at Clearbridge Mobile. From opening a second office in the heart of downtown Toronto to making the Growth 500 List, we’ve accomplished a lot as a team.

Here are the company highlights from 2018.

We Won a Few Awards

In February, Chatr announced the launch of the new my chatr app for iOS and Android. The app was developed in collaboration with our team at Clearbridge Mobile, and we’re thrilled to have created a product that offers easy-to-use self-service for users. Shortly after the product launch, we were honored to receive the Ted Rogers Business Excellence Award for the my chatr app.

This year, we were also recognized by Clutch.co on several occasions. Early in the year, Clearbridge was awarded a spot as a Clutch Canadian Leader in their annual list of the Top Developers and Agencies in Canada. We ranked in first place of the Top Mobile App Developers in Canada and were named among the Top UX Designers in Canada, the Top iPhone App Developers in Canada, and the Top Android App Developers in Canada. As the year went on, the Clearbridge name came up again on Clutch, this time the review agency awarded us a spot on the list of the Top Media App Developers in the world, and as we round off the year, Clutch named us a global leader in mobile app development overall.

For Clearbridge Mobile to be featured on Clutch’s platform, we were extensively evaluated based on our market presence in the mobile app development industry. Our presence consists of our clientele, portfolio, and projects we’ve completed. These achievements reflect our ability to deliver exceptional mobile products for our clients consistently.

Awards or no awards, the praise we received from our clients was rewarding enough. One of our five-star reviews came from a Product Manager at a large Canadian telecommunications company. The client had the following words to share about the quality of our work:

“When we’ve tested our other internal apps or apps developed by other firms, we usually come back with 100 to 400 errors in the initial scan. In the initial scan for Clearbridge’s app, we came back with only seven errors – six were false positives and one was solved within a week.”

The client went on to compliment our dedication:

“We found their can-do attitude most impressive. They went above-and-beyond, displaying ingenuity to identify potential solutions. I couldn’t ask for a better vendor.”

We Made It On The Growth 500 List

In September, Canadian Business and Maclean’s listed Clearbridge Mobile in the Growth 500 definitive ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies. The announcement followed a strong year marked by high-profile product releases for companies like Rogers Communications, TD Bank and Bell Mobility with the development of flagship products for innovative startups as customers look for best-in-class product development.

Not only have we been featured in the list, but we’ve also ranked in the top 100 companies. Every year, Canadian Business profiles the country’s most successful entrepreneurial businesses. It’s a huge honor to be considered one of the country’s most successful businesses, and we believe the achievement is a reflection of our clients’ faith in our team, process, and engineering strength.

We Opened A Second Office

In just a year, our team has grown so much that we opened a new office in downtown Toronto. The second office will provide greater convenience and accessibility for many of our Toronto employees.

CEO, Deepak Chopra says, “We’re excited to announce the opening of our new location in downtown Toronto as it is home to some of the most progressive technology startups in the world and the city has some of the best tech talent you can find. As Toronto continues to see industry growth, I’m happy to say our downtown office will help contribute to the broader recognition of the city’s tech scene.”

Our new office expansion reflects our growth as we continue to partner with Canadian enterprises and innovative startups in Toronto’s booming technology landscape.

We Went To A Few Parties

York Region, the home of Clearbridge Mobile’s HQ, has one of the largest tech sectors in Canada. Last month, CTO, Sanjay Malhotra, attended the York Region 2018 FinTech Summit to explore new technologies, solutions, and emerging trends in our local FinTech space. Malhotra had the opportunity to listen to panel discussions, network with fellow thought leaders, and represent Clearbridge as a panelist for the lightning round of startup pitches.

Similarly, CEO, Chopra, traveled to Portugal for Web Summit 2018 to help represent York Region’s impressive technology core and discuss domestic industry innovation and the future of tech. Chopra even ran into Toronto Mayor, John Tory, and had the opportunity to chat about Clearbridge Mobile’s expansion plans.

The Road Ahead

We’ve had a lot on our plates this year, and we’re thrilled with everything we’ve accomplished. We’re looking forward to the road ahead as we continue to deliver mobile app products that have a lasting impact on our clients’ businesses and their customers.

We are one of Canada’s fastest growing companies, and we’re hiring!
